LaJuan Schlegel,known as the Texas Bluebonnet Artist,has been painting for more than twenty years, studying colors and techniques from artists such as Louise Howell and Rev. Dick Moody. Recognized in the Southwest regionally, Mrs. Schlegel has been featured in numerous publications and television appearances. Favorites include bluebonnet landscapes "Field of Bluebonnets","The Old North Church" and more recently the "Henrietta" and other chicken paintings. Besides a skilled artisan, Schlegel is a gentile, soft-spoken lady who attributes all her talents as coming from God, creater of all nature.
